Former MP for the Liberal Democrats and County Councillor in Somerset.

Tessa having spoken out herself in the House of Commons about her experience of child abuse knows the importance of improving the law to protect every citizen.

She says “The Office of the Whistleblower will revolutionise the rights of every citizen to allow them all to speak up safely.”


Stephen KErr MSP

Stephen joined the board of WhistleblowersUK because of his experience as the founding chairman of the APPG for Whistleblowing. He is committed to continuing his support for the organisation that helped him understand the injustice and unfairness that whistleblowers face and to see the Bill for the Office of the Whistleblower enshrined into law.

Stephen says, "Whistleblowers are a vital element of a fair and transparent society and should be recognised and properly protected". Stephen is also a member of the Scottish Parliament.

A committed and passionate leader determined to transform the way we think about whistleblowing by leading the campaign in support of the Bill for the Office of the Whistleblower.

Georgina says, "We must normalise speaking up and help those who feel alone and abandoned by society. Whistleblowing is vitally important to keep us all safe. Working together we are determined to change the way that everyone thinks about whistleblowers and whistleblowing and our work with whistleblowers, governments and organisations around the world is key to bringing about change."


Jayne Senior MBE

Safeguarding Director

 

Jayne Senior is widely known and respected as "The Rotherham Whistleblower". Her disclosures involving the abuse of thousands of children resulted in the convictions of many of the grooming gang members and investigation into the authorities that ignored crimes against children for years.

Jayne said that she accepted the role of Safeguarding Director because "It was absolutely the right thing to do because she knows what happens when those who speak up for the silenced are silenced themselves".


Iain Mitchell QC

A longstanding Scottish advocate called to the UK Bar in 2012. An expert in a wide variety of civil practice including technology and data protection law. Iain believes in the importance of putting something back and says "Whistleblowers deserve the very best representation both in and outside of the courts and I am humbled to be playing a part in this fine organisation."

Iain and his team support the work of WhistleblowersUK and regularly advise whistleblowers, organisations and legislators.


Anna Vilette

Business Support Manager

Anna is a senior HR Director. She leads the team delivering internal and external business support including the development of our training, coaching and consultancy programme. She is a PR specialist.

Anna says “In all professional environments there is a place for the reporting of wrongdoing. It is important that everyone, not just employees, feel comfortable in reporting dishonest behaviour”


Joseph Styles

Before working with WhistleblowersUK Joe worked in the House of Lords aiding policy development. He also helps with all manner of research tasks ensuring our briefings are insightful and accurate.

Joe manages the website and our social media presence.

Joe says “Whistleblowing is at the heart of many positive social changes and as a society we must recognise this. Increasing the protection afforded to Whistleblowers is essential”


Tom Lloyd QPM MA (Oxon)

Honorary President

Tom Lloyd retired as Chairman of WhistleblowersUK in June 2020 having led the organisation for nearly 5 years. The international recognition we have gained during this time is thanks to his leadership and vision. We owe him a huge debt of gratitude for all that he has done and we are delighted that, in recognition, Tom has agreed to accept the role of Honorary President.
